Our boat was built in 1962 at a yard in Sarnico. It seats six, smells of varnish and is in no hurry.
The crossing
Your captain takes the long way, past the villas on the western shore and the waterfall at Nesso. In Bellagio you have two hours to walk the lanes before the boat collects you at the lido.
Bring a jumper. Even in August the air on the water is cooler than it looks from the terrace.
